​Prof. Dr. Leila da Costa Ferreira​

Dr Leila da Costa Ferreira is a full professor of Sociology at the Institute of Philosophy and Human Sciences at UNICAMP. Leila is currently vice-president of the Commission on Ecological Change and Environmental Justice and of the Sustainability Advisory Committee of the Rectory of Unicamp. She is a CNPq senior researcher. She is a member of the International Sociological Association (ISA) and the Associate Faculty of the Earth System Governance Project (Future Earth). She was a Visiting Professor at the University of Texas/UT in the USA in 1998 and at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China in 2009. She completed a post-doctorate at the University of York in England in 2005 and a post-doctorate at the University of Texas/UT in 1995/1996, and has lectured on environmental issues in more than 30 countries. She is the author of 12 books on environmental issues.

Luiz Henrique Vieira da Silva

Luiz is a civil servant in the Environment and Urban Planning department of the Vinhedo City Hall, São Paulo, and a doctoral candidate in the Environment and Society (E&S) Program at NEPAM/IFCH/Unicamp. He holds a master's degree in Sustainability from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas (CEA/PUC-Campinas) and a bachelor's degree in Public Policy Management from the University of São Paulo (EACH/USP). Luiz worked as a CAPES Researcher, Modality I, between 2019 and 2021 and completed the Graduate Program in Administration at the University of Campinas (FCA/Unicamp). His areas of interest include the Global Agenda for Sustainable Development, Sustainable Local Development, Social and Political Dimensions of Climate Change, Ecological Economics, and Socio-Environmental Economics.

Marcelo Rezende Calça Soeira

Marcelo is a doctoral student in the Environment and Society (E&S) Program at NEPAM/IFCH/UNICAMP, working on the Global Environmental Change and Sustainability research line. His thesis is titled "Socio-environmental vulnerability to heat: an interventionist approach across multiple scales, levels, and stakeholders." Marcelo is co-advised by Leila da Costa Ferreira. Marcelo is also interested in urban climatology, remote sensing technologies, environmental comfort, and building performance. He holds a Civil Engineering degree from the same institution, having completed a fellowship at the University of Exeter, UK, through the Science Without Borders program. He also has professional experience in foundations. He holds a Master's degree in Urban Infrastructure Systems from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas, where he researched the relationship between urban parameters and intra-urban microclimate variations.

Luciana Lima Domingues de Souza

Luciana, a fellow of the FAPESP scholarship programme, is currently pursuing her doctorate in Environment and Society (E&S) at NEPAM/IFCH/UNICAMP. Luciana holds a Master's degree in Sustainability from PUC Campinas and a Bachelor's degree in Law from the same institution, as well as a degree in Industrial Management from AHK/IKK in Germany. Luciana has accumulated 23 years of professional experience as a legal consultant in Brazil and internationally. Her specialisations include land and environmental regularisation, communities, and the third sector. She is a member of the Global Ecovillage Network GEN EUROPE, the Study and Research Circle on Ecovillages and Sustainable Communities of CASA BRASIL, and the Circle for Mother Earth Rights of CASA LATINA. She is a member of the Advisory Committee on Ecological Change and Environmental Justice at UNICAMP (CAMEJA) and the Parliamentary Front for the Environment and Combating the Effects of Climate Change of the Campinas City Council. In 2024, Luciana successfully completed a PhD fellowship at the Zentrum für Klimaresilienz at the University of Augsburg in Germany. In 2025, Luciana welcomed Sophia Wagner, a Social Sciences intern at the University of Augsburg, to a scientific initiation research project coordinated by her and supervised by Prof. Leila. The project focuses on women's climate activism in academia and the development of her thesis product.

Eduardo Prado Gutierrez

Doctoral advisee in E&S

Eduardo is a doctoral candidate in the Environment and Society (E&S) Program at NEPAM/IFCH/Unicamp, under the supervision of Professor Leila da Costa Ferreira. Working in an interdisciplinary field, he is a researcher interested in polycentric governance processes, public participation, and the institutionalization of climate adaptation and nature-based solutions in urban environments. He is currently investigating community agency in ecosystem-based adaptation processes, focusing on the cases of Santos and Salvador. Eduardo holds a bachelor's degree in Economics and a master's degree in Sociology from Unicamp. He also has experience with quantitative and qualitative methods, as well as participatory methodologies involving actors in vulnerable social positions. He has worked collaboratively and liaising with experts from different fields and cultures. As a result of his projects, he has published articles in the international journal Ámbitos, presented data at the 8th Network of Early Career Researchers in Sustainability Transitions (NEST), the 1st Multidisciplinary Congress on the Urban, and the 45th Meeting of the National Association of Social Sciences.

Zhou Lin

Zhou Lin is a researcher at CECLA (Community of Chinese and Latin American Studies) and a doctoral student in the Environment and Society (A&S) Program at NEPAM/IFCH/UNICAMP. Her research interests include Sino-Brazilian relations, global climate governance, and Brazil's environmental diplomacy in the context of the Global South. Her doctoral research, entitled "Climate Security Strategies and Practices in the Global South: the Case of China and Brazil," analyzes how China and Brazil develop climate security strategies, articulating national agendas, and participating in multilateral forums. She holds a master's degree in International Relations from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), where she studied China's environmental policy toward Latin America, focusing on environmental cooperation, institutional mechanisms, and their impact on regional climate agendas.

Lara Cristina Batista Freitas

Lara is a biourbanist and a PhD candidate in the Environment and Society Program (E&S) at NEPAM/IFCH/UNICAMP. She holds a master's degree in Urban Management and Permaculture. She is also a co-founder of the Permanent Ecobairro Program (established in 2004) and current CEO of the Ecobairro Brasil Institute. She works as an associate director of Paisagem Design Regenerativo. Lara is also a Gaia Education Facilitator and certified by the Municipalities in Transition Project (MiT). She coordinated the application of the One Planet Living/Bioregional methodology to co-create the Climate Action Plan in Vila Mariana, in the south zone of São Paulo, and was a member of the São Paulo Municipal SDG Commission for the period 2022-2024. Currently, Lara is the Regional Councilor for Environment, Sustainable Development, and Culture of Peace for the Vila Mariana Subprefecture in São Paulo. His research focuses on forms of integrated local planning, seeking to broaden the vision of Neighborhood Planning and Climate Change Adaptation Planning methodologies, considering the involvement of multiple actors and regenerative development processes.

Sophia Wagner

Sophia is a Bachelor of Social Sciences (SC) student at the University of Augsburg. Currently, Sophia is completing a three-month internship at NEPAM/IFCH at UNICAMP and developing a research project on climate ecofeminism in academia and agency in Brazil, using qualitative methods to understand how theory and activism interrelate. Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Leila da Costa Ferreira and coordinated by doctoral student Luciana Lima Domingues de Souza, Sophia participates in classes, research meetings, and fieldwork. She has been involved with academic collectives and visits to ecovillages, agrarian settlements, and climate initiatives, supporting Luciana's research and gaining insights into grassroots ecofeminist practices. The project will result in a scientific report, an article, and a poster for presentation at an international conference.

Maria Luiza de Souza Gomes

Maria Luiza is an undergraduate student in Social Sciences with a concentration in Sociology (So) at IFCH, UNICAMP. She served as a Student Representative for the CCG (Central Center for Human Sciences) (2023-2024) and was a member of the board of the Academic Center for Human Sciences (CACH). Her research interests include the role of Social Sciences in mitigating socio-environmental problems, the climate crisis, and ESG. She is working on a scientific initiation project with Professor Leila.

Vittoria Bertolaccini Segantini

Vittoria is a bachelor's student in Social Sciences (SC) at the State University of Campinas, with a concentration in Political Science and Sociology. Currently, she is an intern at ITCP/Unicamp (Technological Incubator of Popular Cooperatives), focusing on recycling and the solidarity economy. She is also a researcher on the voluntary scientific initiation project "Entrepreneurs for the Climate at COP26: An Open Letter on Market Sustainability and the Hegemonic Crisis of Neoliberal Capitalism," under the guidance of Prof. Thiago Trindade Aguiar.

Guilherme is a Biological Sciences (BS) undergraduate student at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). He was a member of the 7th class of the Interdisciplinary Higher Education Program (ProFIS). He received a scholarship from the Teaching Support Program (PAD) for three years and volunteered for one year, assisting with the ProFIS Evolution program. He is currently a Student Representative on the undergraduate committee for the Biological Sciences programs at the Institute of Biology.

Visiting Researcher at the Center for US-China Policy Studies, San Francisco State University (2016), at the Institute of Advanced Studies in Social Sciences, Fudan University, Shanghai, China (2012) and at the Faculty of Environmental Studies, York University, Toronto, Canada (2005). Author of the books "Sustainable Cities" (2019) and "Climate Change and Policy Responses in Cities" (2015). Member of the Future Earth research network, the Earth System Governance Project, the Urban Climate Change Research Network (UCCRN) Latin America, and the Ibero-American Research Network on Environment and Society. Neto is an associate professor at the Umbra Institute, Perugia, Italy. PhD in Environment and Society (NEPAM/IFCH) from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Master of Science from the University of São Paulo (USP), as part of the Interunit Program in Applied Ecology at the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture (2017). Bachelor's degrees in International Relations (2012) and Economics (2013), both from the University of Campinas (FACAMP). Interested in Political Ecology, Environmental Sociology, and the radical critique of industrialization. He has experience at the United Nations, Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), 2010 and 2012, in the Division of Social Development, focusing on Latin American youth issues. In recent years, he has focused his research on political ecology, specifically on the following areas: radical critique of industrial society, nature, society, and anarchism. Co-founder of the Thinking After Ivan Illich project and the international journal Conspiratio: a periodical for thinking after Ivan Illich.

Graduated in Sociology from Eduardo Mondlane University (2007-2011); Has research experience in Sociology, Environment, and Community Development, as well as socio-environmental project management; Has participated in different national and international programs and organizations linked to research on the following themes: Global Environmental Change, Environmental Sociology and International Relations; Is a founding member of the Association for the Development of Projects and Research and the Climate Change Observatory (Mozambique); Currently holds the position of Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the WUTIVI University (Mozambique) and Scientific Coordinator of the Dom Bosco Higher Institute (ISDB-Mozambique).

Izidro Justino Muhale

Izidro is a professor at Eduardo Mondlane University, Mozambique, integrated into the university teaching career. He holds a PhD in Environment and Society from IFCH (NEPAM-UNICAMP, Brazil), and has worked as a professor and researcher in various areas related to Environmental Change in the Global South. His research interests cover topics such as climate policy, climate emergency, citizen science, social studies of science and technology, as well as approaches to climate change adaptation and mitigation in the agricultural sector. He currently serves as Deputy Dean of the Faculty and teaches in the Graduate Program in Sustainable Agriculture. As a consultant, he has contributed to the preparation of press releases on the impacts of climate change in Mozambique and conducted studies focused on community adaptation to extreme weather events.

Researcher on the FAPESP project "The Challenge of Climate Change Governance in Brazil: A Multilevel and Multi-actor Analysis (the case of the State of São Paulo)." Associate of the International Sociological Association (ISA) and the Ibero-American Network for Research on Environment and Society. Lisandra Zago

Lizandra holds a PhD in Sociology from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), a master's degree in History from the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS), and a degree in Philosophy from Dom Bosco Catholic University (UCDB). In 2011, she received the Domingos Veríssimo Marcos Award from the Campo Grande/MS City Council for her work on the Historical Formation of the State of Mato Grosso. This award gave rise to the book "Bororo Indians: Contacts, Alliances, and Conflicts (18th and 19th Centuries)" published in 2012 by Life Publishing and republished in 2017 by Novas Edições Acadêmicas. She has experience in the multidisciplinary/interdisciplinary fields of the Humanities (Philosophy, Anthropology, Sociology, and History).

Mariana Delgado Barbieri has a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences (IFCH/UNICAMP), a master's degree in Sociology (IFCH/UNICAMP) and a PhD in Environment and Society (NEPAM/UNICAMP). Marilia D´Ottaviano Giesbrecht

Marilia holds a PhD in Environment and Society (2013) and a Master's in Sociology (2005), both from the State University of Campinas. She has experience in Sociology, with an emphasis on environmental sociology. Since 2006, she has worked on the topic of biofuels and climate change policies from an interdisciplinary perspective, considering the fields of energy, environmental, and scientific policy, as well as the theoretical framework of environmental sociology.

Niklas Werner Weins

Niklas is an Assistant Professor in the Department of International Studies at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), Suzhou, China. He holds a PhD in Environment and Society (FAPESP scholarship) from the University of Campinas, during which he was a visiting researcher at Wageningen University Research (WUR), the Netherlands. He holds a bachelor's degree in Economics and Politics of East Asia from Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany, with internships at Tongji University, China, and the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Mexico. He holds a Master's degree in Technology and Society from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), during which he was a research associate at the Cities and Biodiversity Studio and the Public Policies and Dynamics of Territorial Development research group. His interdisciplinary experience includes environmental sociology, institutional economics, development studies, international relations, and political economy. His current research focuses include institutional arrangements, Payment for Environmental Services (PES), and environmental and social policies in China and Latin America.

Si Liu holds a bachelor's degree in Diplomacy in Portuguese Language and Culture from Beijing University of Foreign Studies (2012). She completed an internship at the University of Coimbra (2011). She works at the Chinese Academy of Sciences as a researcher specializing in science policy, innovation, and technology in Brazil. She is a PhD candidate in Social Sciences at the University of Campinas, where she is researching air pollution and risk perception in megacities.

Vagner holds a PhD in Environment and Society from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), with research focused on the human dimensions of global environmental change in the Global South. As a member of LABGEC (Laboratory of Social Dimensions of Global Environmental Change in the Global South), he investigates interfaces between sustainability, socio-environmental policies, and climate justice, with an emphasis on contexts of vulnerability. His training combines Environmental Sociology, Education, and Technology, building a transdisciplinary perspective to analyze contemporary environmental challenges. He holds a Master's degree in Education and Social Sciences (UNICAMP): Studies on pedagogical practices and social dynamics in contexts of transformation. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Systems Analysis and Development (Centro Universitário Anhanguera Pitágoras Ampli): Competencies in data modeling and technological solutions applied to complex problems. Education: Bachelor's degree in Educational Sciences (Quisqueya University, Haiti). Complementary training: Computer Science Applied to Organizations (TÉLUQ/Université du Québec à Montréal). Guilherme Augusto Lemos Fest

Guilherme holds a degree in Environmental Engineering from the Federal University of Itajubá (UNIFEI), a degree in Social Sciences with an emphasis in Anthropology from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), and a master's degree in Sociology from the same university. He has participated in research on development and society and urban and environmental history, producing monographs and publishing at scientific conferences. He was a fellow twice through the Institutional Scientific Initiation Scholarship Program (PIBIC) and through the Institutional Teaching Initiation Program (PIBID).

José Caio Quadrado Alves

José holds a bachelor's degree in Anthropology, a degree in General Social Sciences, and a master's degree in Sociology (with a focus on Environment and Society) from the Graduate Program in Sociology (PPGS) at Unicamp. During his master's degree, he actively participated in the FAPESP project "The Climate Change Multilevel and Multistakeholder Governance Challenge in Brazil (The Case of São Paulo State)" (grant no. 19/14867-2). Currently, she holds a FAPESP scholarship in the Interunit Graduate Program in Applied Ecology (PPGI-EA) at USP and is part of two thematic projects funded by the agency: Assessment of the potential for improvement and expansion of public policies favorable to the implementation and development of Agroforestry Systems in federal agrarian reform settlements in the state of São Paulo (process no. 2023/10133-0) and Transdisciplinarity for Human-Wildlife Coexistence in Shared and Spared Landscapes (process no. 2023/11823-0). In addition, she is a member of the following research groups or laboratories: Laboratory of Social Dimensions of Global Environmental Change in the Global South (LABGEC) at Unicamp; Research Group on Emerging and Alternative Agriculture (AGREMAL) at USP; Laboratory of Human Ecology (LEHMA) at Unicamp; and the Laboratory of Ecology, Management, and Wildlife Conservation (LEMaC) at USP. He conducts studies on globalization and climate change, human-wildlife coexistence, agroecology, memory and social conflicts in rural areas, as well as ecological justice and critique in Brazil.

Alberto Matenhauer Urbinatti

Alberto holds a PhD in Public Health from the School of Public Health at the University of São Paulo (FSP/USP). He received a scholarship from the São Paulo Research Foundation from May 2017 to June 2020. He studied topics related to governance and public policies in cities, the nexus between water, energy, and food, and the governance of science and technology. His research was associated with the MacroAmb project (Grant 2015/03804-9) and ResNexus (Grant 2015/50132-6). He was a visiting researcher at the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU) at the University of Sussex, England, as a FAPESP BEPE fellow, under the supervision of Prof. Andy Stirling. He holds a Master's degree in Sociology from IFCH/UNICAMP with a scholarship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP). He studied risks, impacts, and policies associated with climate change in megacities in Brazil and China. He holds a degree in Social Sciences, with an emphasis in Sociology, also from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). He is currently conducting postdoctoral research in the Department of Science and Technology Policy (DPCT) at UNICAMP as a member of the Covid-19 Humanities Network and the CompCoRe project (led by Prof. Stephen Hilgartner/Cornell University and Prof. Sheila Jasanoff/Harvard Kennedy School), focusing on governance and scientific and technological controversies. He is a member of the Interdisciplinary Study Group in Science and Technology (GEICT).

Estevão Mota Gomes Ribas Bosco

Estevão is a social theorist with a degree in social sciences from São Paulo State University (UNESP/Araraquara Campus), a master's and a doctorate in sociology from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), and a research fellow at the Free University of Berlin (FU). He was a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Sociology at UNICAMP, the Department of Geography at USP, and the Department of Sociology at the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom. He is currently an associate professor and director of social sciences at the American College of the Mediterranean (IAU/ACM, Barcelona) and the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO/Brazil); and a researcher at the Research Group on Political Geography and the Environment of the University of São Paulo (GEOPO/USP) and the (co-)Laboratory of Social Theory (Sociofilo/UFRJ). His work revolves around the interface between philosophy (formal pragmatics, philosophical hermeneutics, and social phenomenology) and sociology, with a particular interest in the following topics: philosophical foundations of the social sciences, cosmopolitanism, globalization, post/decoloniality, ethnocentrism, and the Anthropocene. He publishes in Portuguese, English, and French.

Luiz Enrique holds a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences (2006) and a PhD in Sociology from the University of São Paulo (2012). He was a DAAD fellow at the Technische Universität Berlin (2011), where he researched topics related to classical social theory and German history. Between 2013 and 2017, he conducted postdoctoral research in environmental sociology at the University of Campinas (NEPAM) and served as a visiting scholar at Beijing Jiaotong University, publishing papers on the Chinese government's energy policies (2015). He currently conducts research in the areas of public policymaking, environmental sociology, and social studies of energy issues.

Marcelo is the coordinator of the Graduate Program in Social Sciences (PGCS) at the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES). He is an advisor to the FAPES Chamber of Social Sciences. He is also the coordinator of the Center for Research, Innovation, and Socioeconomic Planning (NUPLA/UFES). He was editor-in-chief of Sinais Journal (1981-1988). He holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Campinas (2012), including a period at the University of Mississippi, and postdoctoral studies from UNICAMP and the University of Edinburgh. He is currently a professor in the Department of Social Sciences (DCSo/UFES) and the Graduate Program in Social Sciences (PGCS/UFES) at the Federal University of Espírito Santo. He has experience in the areas of Sociology of Science and Environmental Sociology, with an emphasis on empirical studies, opinion polls, and social perception surveys using qualitative and quantitative methods.

Ana Paula Soares Veiga

Ana Paula has a master's degree in Scientific and Cultural Communication from Labjor/IEL/Unicamp (2015). She is a journalist from the Methodist University of São Paulo (1986), with a specialisation in Science Journalism from Labjor/Unicamp (2011). From 2004 to 2018, she worked in the Institutional Communication Management area of the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), carrying out activities to disseminate science and popularise science and technology. From 2010 to 2017, she was responsible for the knowledge dissemination and science popularisation activities of the Climate Network and the INCT for Climate Change, both based at INPE. She was a scholarship holder at Rede Clima, in the areas of Communication and Public Policy. She has experience in Communication, with an emphasis on Public Science Communication, mainly in the environmental and space areas; Institutional Communication; Science Journalism; Science Dissemination; Popularisation of Science; development of projects in the area of production and dissemination of knowledge and interaction with the community (organisation of S&T exhibitions and fairs; production of content for multimedia educational materials aimed at students, teachers, the media and government institutions).

Ligia holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Unesp Rio Claro (2011), a master's degree in Zoology from Unesp Rio Claro (2013) and a master's degree in Wildlife Conservation from UFscar (2017), and a specialization in Environmental Management from USP/Esalq (2016). She earned her doctorate in Environment and Society from Unicamp (2024), where she dedicated herself to studying the human and gender dimensions of climate change, with an emphasis on women's participation at multiple levels of climate governance, addressing these issues from an intersectional perspective. Ligia also has experience in climate change, climate governance, intersectionality, gender, feminist science studies, environmental sociology, and feminist political ecology. She currently coordinates the Energy, Gender, and Intersectionalities area at the non-governmental organization IEI-Brasil. In this role, she designs, develops, and coordinates projects that seek to incorporate gender and its intersectionalities into the energy field, promoting energy policies with an intersectional gender perspective.

Aurea holds a degree in Social Sciences from the University of São Paulo (1980), a Master's (1999) and a PhD (2004) in Environmental Science, a post-doctorate from the State University of Campinas (2009), and a Habilitation in Social Sciences in Health from the School of Public Health at USP (2012). She is a professor at the School of Public Health at USP and is accredited in the Graduate Program in Public Health at the School of Public Health at USP. She was involved in the formulation and remains accredited in the Graduate Program in Social Change and Political Participation at the School of Arts and Humanities at USP (2010-2023). She is a visiting researcher at the School of Political Science and Sociology at the Complutense University of Madrid (2023). She is the scientific editor of the journal Saúde e Sociedade. He has experience in the field of sociology and works to bridge the gap between Social Sciences and Health, on the following topics: contemporary social changes and health, social thought in health, metropolis and health care.

Gabriela is an Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental Health at the School of Public Health of the University of São Paulo (USP), with a Full Professorship in the area of Health, Environment and Society (USP-2019). She was a visiting researcher at the University of York, United Kingdom, from September 2021 to August 2022. She holds a PhD in Environment and Society from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp-2010), a master's degree in Science and Technology Policy from the Institute of Geosciences at Unicamp (2006), a specialization in Scientific Journalism from Unicamp (2004) and a degree in Social Communication - Journalism from the São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (Unesp-2001). She completed a postdoctoral internship at the Center for Environmental Studies and Research (NEPAM - Unicamp) between 2011 and 2013. She completed a sandwich doctoral internship in 2009 at the Institute of Hazard, Risk and Reliance (Durham University, England) and a research internship abroad at Stuttgart University, Germany, in 2012. She is the deputy coordinator of the Environment and Society Research Group of the Institute of Advanced Studies at USP, the Center for Sustainable Amazon Studies (CEAS), and the CIRIS Research Group - Governance, Risk and Communication. She is a permanent researcher at INCLINE/USP, where she coordinates the Cities, Vulnerabilities and Climate Change research line. She is a member of the Scientific Coordination of the Biota Fapesp Program and coordinates the Graduate Program in Global Health and Sustainability. She is a full member of the São Paulo State Academy of Sciences (ACIESP). Since 2024, he has been a member of the coordination team of the URBAN Prediction Project of the World Weather Research Programme (WWRP) of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). Areas of interest: Crises, Risks, and Uncertainties; Interactions between Science, Policy, Communication, and Society; Human Dimensions of Climate Change; Global Health and Sustainability.

Matheus is a bachelor of Biological Sciences - Ecology and Biodiversity from the Federal University for Latin American Integration (UNILA), Master of Ecology and Natural Resources from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) and PhD candidate in Environment and Society at the Center for Environmental Studies and Research (NEPAM) of the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Member of the editorial committee of the journal Temáticas (ISSN - 1413-2486). He holds a technical degree in Environment from ETEC in Araçatuba and a degree in Environmental Education from the Educator Collective of Foz do Iguaçu. He worked in scientific initiations (scholarship and volunteer - ITAIPU and UNILA), was a tutor in Ecology (scholarship - UNILA) during his undergraduate studies and a CAPES scholarship holder throughout his master's and doctoral studies.

Bruno Feltrin Puttini

​Bruno is a PhD candidate with a master's degree in Science and Technology Policy from the Institute of Geosciences (IG) at Unicamp, and holds a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from the School of Philosophy, Letters, and Human Sciences (FFLCH) at the University of São Paulo (USP). He served as a volunteer monitor (2020) and, later, as a scholarship monitor (2021) in the "Academic Practices of Reading and Writing (PLEA)" program. Between 2021 and 2022, Bruno conducted a research project entitled "Rethinking Nature and Culture: Engagement with the World in the Work of Tim Ingold." He is currently researching climate change, seeking to understand ways to adapt agriculture, focusing on agroforestry systems (AFS) for his doctorate. In 2024, he became a member of the Climate Emergency Collective, a student initiative for academic climate activism at Unicamp.

Arthur Habermann Gallo

Arthur is completing an MBA in Data Science and Analytics (USP/ESALQ) with a thesis on the energy transition in Brazil (2019-2023). He holds a degree in Social Sciences from IFCH/Unicamp and completed an academic exchange in International and Energy Studies at Korea University, South Korea. Arthur was a guest student in the Environmental Sociology course taught by Professor Leila in the Doctoral Program in Environment and Society (NEPAM/IFCH/UNICAMP) and is currently working on a research project in Environmental Sciences to be submitted for a doctoral degree at NEPAM under Professor Leila's supervision. His focus is energy issues and social problems arising from climate change.
